There is $1.00 Charge for any notary service done at our office for documents that were not drafted by our office.

Cook County Real Estate Deed Notarization cost $25.00 if the Deed is not drafted by our office.

*Note Notarizing a document does not make it legal or validate the document nor its content. Notarizing a document acknowledges that the person who signed the document is the same person whose name appeared before the notary and signed the documents in her presence. Note that a thump print of the signer maybe required.

All Documents being notarized must be accompanied by one of the following forms of valid picture ID:

A current State Issued Driver’s License or State Issued Non-Driver’s ID
A current U.S. Real ID
A current U.S. Passport (or U.S. Passport Card)

A United States military identification card (current military identification cards might not contain all the required information – must contain photo, signature and an ID # )
A valid Foreign Passport from the Country of Citizenship
A valid consular identification document issued by a consulate from the applicant’s country of citizenship, or a valid passport from the applicant’s country of citizenship
An identification card issued by a federally recognized tribal government

Expired identification will not be accepted. You must have your original form of ID (photocopies or electronic versions are not acceptable), and the name listed on the document being signed should match that of the ID being presented. If the name(s) on the documents do not match your valid and current identification, you will need to contact the attorney or the company who drafted the document in order to get a correction prior to your appointment.
